富嶽三十六景という、北斎による浮世絵シリーズの中の1枚。

波を縦にまた横に大きく描き、おぼれかけている人々 も描くことで

ゴッホがフランスのアルル地方を訪れた際に描かれたローヌ川の情景作品。

絵の中心にいくにつれて空の明るさが増し、町の光が手前へ広がり、すべての要素が前の２人を祝福しているともいわれています。

ゴッホの絵画表現により、現実世界では無機質な星たちが、夜を引き立てる妖精のような存在へと変貌したともいわれています。

This is a scene of the Rhone River painted during Van Gogh’s visit to the Arles region of France. As one moves toward the center of the painting, the sky becomes brighter and the lights of the town spread to the foreground, and it is said that all the elements bless the two people in front of them.
