ゴッホのひまわりは画家のゴーギャンとの共同生活の際に、

彼を歓迎、部屋のインテリアのためにかかれた作品とされています。

ゴッホにとっての、ユートピアの象徴となっていたのが「ひまわり」というモチーフなのです。

Monet Waterlilies

『モネの睡蓮』

クロード・モネの代表作『モネの睡蓮』

フランスのジヴェルニーにある「水の庭」の池とそこに生育する睡蓮をモチーフに描かれています。

モネの晩年までの30年間かけて約250枚の油彩絵画なる連作となっています。

モネの作品は「色彩＝光」の実現が可能だと証明し、20世紀後半の美術界に影響を与えました。

自身の思い描く池に睡蓮を描いてみましょう！

Monet Waterlilies

Claude Monet’s masterpiece “Monet’s Water Lilies” is based on the motif of a pond and the water lilies growing there in the “Water Garden” in Giverny, France. It is a series of 250 oil paintings that Monet created over a period of 30 years until the end of his life. Monet’s works proved that it is possible to realize “color = light” and influenced the art world in the latter half of the 20th century. Let’s paint water lilies in the pond of your own imagination!

Paint Pouring

We will lead you thru the techniques to create a unique work using paint pouring.   Your choices of colours are mixed, poured and maneuvered on the canvas to bring your art to life.  Small blow torches are used to create cells in the paint.

We have wine, non-alcoholic beverages, and light snacks but as always, feel free to bring your own food or you can order in from local restaurants. No experience is necessary! Alcohol is typically served so events are for adults 20 years and older.

NOTE: Due to the pouring mediums used to make the paint thinner for this method, it takes 7 days to dry.

This is a scene of the Rhone River painted during Van Gogh’s visit to the Arles region of France.
As one moves toward the center of the painting, the sky becomes brighter and the lights of the town spread to the foreground, and it is said that all the elements are blessing the two people in front of them.
It is said that Van Gogh’s pictorial expression transformed the stars, which are inorganic in the real world, into fairy-like beings that enhance the night.
